Objectives of Sri Ramana Maharshi Natural Remedies Society

a) To help the poorest of the poor patients through effective alternate medicines with locally available herbs which are growing in and around Thiruvannamalai.

b) To improve the Socio-Economic status of the weaker sections through various integrated economic development programmes such as Herbal plantation etc.

c) To educate the Community through an appropriate educational programmes in herbal growth.

d) To create gainful employment opportunity for unemployed person both men and women in rural areas in the herbal production etc.

e) To train and serve the community through proper training programmes in herbal growth.

f) To popularise the local traditional system of medicines through locally available herbal plants.

g) To develop skills and unity among the local community through medicinal plants cultivation.

h) To create disease free atmosphere in the rural area through medicinal plants growth, propagation and cultivation.

i) To improve organic cultivation of herbs for effective curative results of diseases through traditional methods.

The Society was registered under Society Act. It has 11 members i.e The President, Vice President, The Secretary and the Treasurer and 7 EC members. It also has working consultants of 6 technical persons for Manufacturing and testing of Siddha and Ayurveda drugs. (3 for Siddha and 3 for Ayurveda). The Society has also 3 Advisors from various fields for the development of the Society. Apart from this, casual men and women labours are engaged on need basis to take care of the society activities.
